With so many options for coffee places and so many similarities between them all, it can always be hard choosing which one to go to. Commonplace Coffee though, is anything but common. It has the feel of some of my favorite Manhattan coffee shops by offering locally roasted beans and pour over coffee which gives that silky smooth mouth feel and significantly less bitter taste. Though where my true allegiance to caffeine addiction lies, is through espresso. The espresso exceeds all expectations by being nutty, bitter, and creamy and always paired with a glass of seltzer water.
Commonplace coffee is clean, modern, but rustic and offers all the amenities you would expect. Free WiFi, water, and clean bathrooms with ambient music that is soft and non intrusive. The atmosphere is simple and elegant making it a great place to open a laptop and get work done without getting distracted.
The menu is simple, but they take pride in the quality and it shows. Even by making the flavorings in house (which is just such a nice touch). So in the end, if you enjoy the notes of different roasts or just enjoy quality coffee and lattes, then this is a must stop.
Next time you're looking for some sophisticated inspiration, or just a place to warm up on a dreary day, stop into Commonplace and say Hello.
