We love summertime in Pittsburgh! From discovering new coffee shops to trips to Kennywood, there’s plenty for everyone to enjoy. Out of all the attractions, there’s nothing we love more than checking out the local farmers markets, especially the one in Squirrel Hill!
Held in Squirrel Hill’s Beacon/Bartlett parking lot on Sundays from 9:00-1:00, we often head there as a family after going to church in the morning. It’s a great place to pick out fresh fruits and vegetables grown locally in Allegheny County and surrounding areas, and the baked goods are always a tasty treat for the kids (plus, they make it easier to convince them to eat their vegetables!).
Where to Find Pittsburgh Farmers Markets
The Squirrel Hill Farmers Market is a Block family favorite, but there are plenty of other options for Pittsburgh natives to enjoy. With hundreds of farms in Allegheny County and thousands more in the surrounding region, these markets are some of the best places to find fresh produce, sweets, and entertainment in the Steel City.
