History of Forest Hills

Located 10 miles east of Downtown Pittsburgh, Forest Hills has something for everyone. For those who love history, Forest Hills is located on Lincoln Highway, one of the oldest transcontinental highways in the United States. For those who love science, Forest Hills is the former home of the Westinghouse Atom Smasher. For people who love the outdoors, Forest Hills has numerous parks for fun. 

Forest Hills shares borders with Wilkinsburg and Churchill (north), Wilkins Township (east), Chalfant (southeast), North Braddock (south), and Braddock Hills (south and west). 

Forest Hills was originally formed in 1919, meaning it recently celebrated its centennial birthday.
